Tomasz’s passion for creation began at a young age, when he thought of himself as a sculptor, shaping objects out of play-doh, and later stone. Tomasz’s Grandpa, an artisan blacksmith who often worked on preserving important monuments, had a profound influence on Tomasz as it was through his Grandpa that he saw the need to preserve the old while incorporating the new.
He discovered his true passion lay with architecture, which offered a similar spatial experience to artistic work, but on a larger scale of creation.
Originally from Krakow, Poland (one of UNESCO World’s first 12 Heritage Sites) Tomasz has practiced in both European and Canadian settings, giving him a unique perspective on the fusion of the modern with the historic in his designs.
His travels to such faraway places as Italy’s Verona, (a personal favourite) that have helped inform his understanding and appreciation of sound urban design.

Urban infill, also known as redevelopment or land recycling, is when new construction takes place to refresh or repurpose underused sites. But infill projects can be controversial if they aren’t a good fit in the neighborhood. How can architects balance their design aesthetic in the context of the surrounding environment? This article describes some factors to consider.
If you have a dog or are planning to get one, you know that a dog is a member of the family. It’s natural to consider them when designing your new home. This article explains how an architect might design a home with a dog in mind: by planning customized indoor and outdoor spaces and implementing subtle pet-proofing design tips throughout the home.
By now, if you’re looking for a new home, you’ve probably heard the word “infill” a few times. Infill generally refers to redevelopment in form of multi-family, semi-detached or single-family dwellings being built on vacant or underdeveloped parcels within previously built, serviced (i.e. schools, transit lines, emergency services, etc.) and established areas.
Project Road Map: An overview of how we bring your dream home into reality
We listen, ask questions and investigate. We want to understand your vision for your dream home. We investigate local building codes, bylaws and area redevelopment plans (just to name a few).
This is where things start to get personal. We want to know how you will live in your home – from pets to laundry we want to know it all. We develop schematic (rough) designs of the site and floor plans of your dream home.
This is where we begin to design by the millimeter and polish and finalize all the designs and features of your home.
We develop detailed construction and drawings. We can even help you select the contractor and work with the City to get your building permit.
We break ground on your dream home and monitor all key building milestones. This is also when you finalize all the materials for your home from flooring to fixtures to cabinetry.
We review and correct any deficiencies of your new dream home and ensure that is move-in ready.
Pop the champagne the work is done. All that’s left to do is enjoy your custom dream home.
